Hi Dan.

As a matter of fact this turtle of mine is an endemic spicies to the United States only and the scientific name is that of Macrochlemys Tenminicki.:)

What happen with the picts of your turtle, nothing shows up?????

That's cool, I've never seen a M. tenminicki before. Can't wait to see him get bigger!

I don't know what happened to the photos, maybe I didn't wait for them to upload completely... :screwy:

How is the availability of fish in Mexico City? Anything really exotic (Asian Aros or Snakeheads, for example)? There was a member from Guadalajara that said that Mexico doesn't have many really good fish stores but that Mexico City was the exception to that rule. I've been to a few fish stores in Mexico (Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Oaxaca) but I've never seen anything in the way of monsters.

Not my tank (I wish!). This was a setup I saw while visiting the Pine Knoll Aquarium in NC a few years ago.

I'm sure you've seen one before Dan, that's the scientific name of the Alligator Snapping Turtle.

I guess I should have known that... For some reason I was thinking they were also in the Chelydra genus.

Actually, I've only seen one Alligator Snapper in real life, but I've seen enough photos that I should have recognized the little bugger!
