well im gonna use a sink drain to make the drain to do water changes because the wood is to thick for a bulkhead. and then that will go from the middle of the side to a drain in the floor.
the order messed up and i had to re order. so it should be here in a week.
If it is in fact particle board you are useing I would worry a little. Particle board dose not do well if it gets wet ply wood or osb would be a wuch better choice.
ok so thats how you are going to do water changes. what about your filter? how are you going to plumb that. im sorry for asking alot of question but im making a pond too and im looking for any and all information i can find
sry i havnt been able to update in a few days. the internet has been out. well the last of the stuff came yesterday.
i am going to do water changes with a bulkhead in the side of the pond to drain. this will have a vlave so i can turn it on and off. then to put water back in i will have a water pipe running down the side of the wall atatched to length of garden hose. the garden hose will be long enough that i cam fill all my tanks in the fish room with it. the filter is a round trash can. it has two 5 gallon buckets stacked to hold the media. the pump will pump water through a pipe up into the top of the can and into the first bucket. the water will drain into the seconf bucket with holes in it to let the waterr fow out. then the water will flow out through a pipe comng out the middle of the can
I wouldn't use a garden hose. Try a food grade rubber hose like the ones you can get from python. They even attatch to the same attatchment that a garden hose would.

Potable water hose for R/V's - 10ft / 20ft / 50ft available. or rinse out the garden hose before you use it each time if you don't have sensitive fish.
