I am only on page 20 and i must say this is by far the best thread I have ever come across here.

My mother passed away at the age of 54, she took us from a welfare family when we were kids got her teachers degree and stuff and taught for many years.

She treated her classroom kids as if they were her own and she even bucked the provincial trend to do away with phonics when they tried to take it out and bring in outcome based education. She threw down the gauntlet and dared them to come to her classroom and remove the FORBIDDEN materials, in the 10 years that they tried the whole experiment with changing educational structure here not one time did anyone ever try to come to her class to do it. Then suddenly they realized that phonics was actually a great way and brought it back STUPID GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES WITH GOD COMPLEXES LOLOLOLOL

For all of you teachers out there

I wish to encourage you with this, my mother died of a massive heart attack at the age of 54 I found her on her bedroom floor and it was the first funeral I ever preached.

The true impact that she made in her 30 some years of teaching, though shown while she was alive in great detail by the amount of people who would come up to her cause they remembered having her as a teacher, really came to light when the time came to have her funeral.

There were so many people that showed up that the funeral home had to open up a few reserve rooms and video conferance it for people to see it. There was also a primary memorial service we had a few days prior to give people a chance to come who could not make the funeral it was an open mic celebration service that had about 200 people in attendance.

I am tough, but my kids have to get ready for college class by junior year. If I do not push them, they will not be prepared and will fail. I can not allow them to do that, so I push them hard.

I am so gonna call you vince lombardi :naughty:

So how was everybodys Spring Break?

Mine was last week. Been back to work a week already. Mine wasn't anything special. It snowed on Monday, dentist on tuesday and doctor on thursday. I did go to Bass Pro Shops on Wed. that was awesome. Their tank is amazing. I got out of there with only spending $75, but then I ordered a new soft side box yesterday.

Only 4 more days left until summer break!!!!!!

4 days?!? You guys are really getting out early this year!

We go until Thursday the 11th - 8 more days... :irked:

Anyways, summer is just around the corner, so what kind of plans do you all have?

My wife is due to give birth to our first child on July 2nd, so this summer is going to be different for us. We normally go to Mexico in July, this year it is going to be a lot of local trips in the RV. We have a couple fishing trips planned and one trip to the Hot Springs.

HA! I've been out for over a week.
