I thought I would make a thread for the beautiful Andinoacara stalsbergi. Very little is known about this species, so I thought all of us who have owned, own or just researched a lot should club together to share our information and experiences - and pictures too. This way more people may spend that little extra and get something other than Saums, (No offence to saum lovers).

Anything and everything is welcome, provided it is on the 'True' Terror... NO SAUMS ALLOWED!

I will be sure to add my 0.02c and pictures when I get home.

Not really how I wanted this to go...

Some people out there have to have stalsbergi, because someone bought the last of rapps', that I wanted!!!

I just got some from rapps several days ago. They are still settling in but they are definitely diggers. I will add more when they are a little more comfortable.

SO YOU GOT THEM!!! How many did you get? What tank they in? Any tankmates? I concur that they certainly are diggers. Or at least sand sifters.

I bought 4 from Rapps a week or two ago. They're still pretty skittish. In a 125 gallon tank. Mine at least are picky eaters. Love frozen bloodworms which they get every once in awhile. Everything else they take a look at and don't eat too much of.

So both of you cleared rapps out!

I got 4 that are in a 55 for quarantine and then they will go in my 175 community tank.

What else will be in the 175 with them? How have you seen their aggro?

Mine were very skittish to begin with. They are still very much so compared to other fish. However, thats what I want in my fish. They are responsive of food however. Mine love massivore. They also love BW, but I try limit it.

I started out with 4 and now have 2, I will be getting another 4 next week. The aggression is terrible on these and I find it difficult to keep them fin tidy...

Any pics?
