Mine were very skittish to begin with. They are still very much so compared to other fish. However, thats what I want in my fish. They are responsive of food however. Mine love massivore. They also love BW, but I try limit it.

I started out with 4 and now have 2, I will be getting another 4 next week. The aggression is terrible on these and I find it difficult to keep them fin tidy...

Did you lose two to aggression? I'll have to try massivore. Have tried Hikari Gold, NLS, and flake. Give them bloodworms every few days to make sure they're getting something. Aggression is definitely higher within these than other fish.

It was a mixture of parasites and aggression. The ones which didn't respond well to treatment were outgrown. Then the aggro kicked in... The two I have get along for the most part now. I am pretty sure the larger is male. The smaller is either sub-dominant male or a female. Either way, I will be adding another 4 to guarantee myself a pair.

Either of you two interested in breeding yours? I think there could be a lot of interest in some F2's...

Precisely my plan. I started with the four In hopes of a pair. Now i'm down to two more is a must. At the very least the others will be dithers and allow the bond to form.

What sizes are yours? Get some pictures up!! I'd like to compare :)

I may breed mine but they are related I assume so I may get more from somewhere else If they pop up. Mine are about 2" or a little more. I will try to get some pics up tonight. I have to kind of hide from them before the come out from behind the rocks. Mine actually get along great and I have seen almost
no aggression from them.

The next four I am obtaining are from different bloodlines, or at least a totally different seller. So I hope they aren't related.

One of mine is at about 2" the larger is about 3". The larger one suddenly developed colours in the past week or two. So from my experience, 3" is when they change from pale little things.

You lucked out then! I got mine at 1-1.5" and I put them in with the 2-3" kribs I used to cycle the tank. I was a little worried because the kribs were larger and they had established territories. Well, the kribs got a kicking! The largest male krib began flaring at the smallest GT, shortly after it had very few fins left and was huddled in a corner. Once they established dominance there was only an occasional chase.

The two I have now recently went through a battle for dominance, which was pretty fierce. Other than than its just chasing, which is to be expected when theres only two. They are both pretty violent to the SDs around feeding though.

Looking forward to pics.

They are still quite skitish. They do have quite a lot of green on their sides already though. Very attractive fish.

They have a lot of personality and will be fin to keep. Hopefully they will become more owner responsive as they grow. It would be nice not to have to hide to watch them. If not though I think they will come around in a community setting:)

Got a pair from Jeff a couple weeks back. Still too small to sex, however they are coloring up well, and the white is starting to show on their dorsal fins.
Very very active little buggers, all over the tank, eating whatever I give them (took to hikari pellets the first day!)
My gf and I enjoy watching them heard the tiger barbs around the tank like sheepdogs.

I feel for ya Trace, Almost impossible to get a shot of them holding still :)
