The truth in changing water

I do a 90% water change weekly on my 1000gallon tank.. The way I do it is hook one hose to the hot water on my washing machine hook the other to the garden hose turn them on togeher. I let it run for 15min on hot water than let it sit for 1/2hour to reheat then add again 15min. Basically I repeat the cycle until the tank fills takes about an 1hr1/2 to fill the tank. When all is said and done the temp stays between 82f and 86f. Also before I add water I add Amquel+/Nova aqua+ directly to the tank before I refill, and I change filter pads every water change

wow sounds like alot of water!
Possibly the most important and most neglected part of our hobby? great post good info, im gonna change my water now........
