The ultimate poll : Blue or Black background

I like a dark blue. Or if its lighter, then a blue/grey.

Although I have seen a planted tank with a blue background and was backlit with an orange bulb from the bottom which bled through the blue so it looked like a sunrise. That was pretty awesome.

That sounds so cool. I think I've seen that too now that I think of it.

That is not how it is done. The blue and orange mix will give a green color.
The sunrise and twilights type background are normally done with translucent stickers for the background and different coloured bulbs are flashed to a white board/ styrofoam at the back thus reflecting the color to the glass as if it is mixed in a more natural way.

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo it's the best I'd say, I did google'd it tho, pretty... I'd like to add another off topic background, sponge bob sky coral-like poster. Nothing will beat that.

I'm color blind, so I think black is better. Dark grey might be nice...

Seriously, I like black though because I think it's more soothing to the fish. That side of the tank won't reflect and they should feel safer. Anyway, it's what I think.

Depends from fish i prefer black but blue also looks awesome (looks great if you have malawi cichlids)
