Really scary. I am glad youre okay and I pray for your continued recovery. Also for the safety of all fish keepers from this potentially deadly disease.

glad your ok

thanks for the heads up anyway what kind of fish do you keep in your tank?

:WHOA:
This is info every aquarist should know, possibly this is sticky type of thread [/quote]

Thanks guys, I'm fully recovered, glad that someone brought this threat back up, EVERYONE here should read this.

I ordered to Cattle OB Gloves, even doubled, they leak??? How about yours?

The gloves Pacu Mom show are also good, takes a bit of dexterity practice, thanks again for sending them! It was a wonderful gift and they are used daily!!

Fish I keep, well to see the humor, I hope you read the original links, because the research specifically named a very few species, Angelfish, Black Skirted Tetra and Blue Gourami- HAH! I'm 3 for 3, the Gourami just up and croaked a while back, b4 I got sick, but it gets into the GI tracts of any fish in common water, so avoiding a species does nothing to protect. i.e. pet store, fish supplier, fish catcher....on down the chain all water is contaminated therefore potentially has this bug. Bummer Dude, I always prided in 4 yrs of Fishkeeping and never an illness of any kind.

If you have equipment, buckets, nets, hoses, out that household pets like "mammals" can lick, they can catch it and die too. My cats used to think aquarium water was the best, until the cat fell in and the Arowana jumped out and.......it was darn funny!!!!! Wet cats look funny staring at you from the inside of a tank.........

Johnptc hooked me up with a Hagen UV, I have it running, my fish are thriving. It may be in my head, but i swear right before the uv was hooked up, my Dojo loaches were acting really different. No energy, barely eating...

Who lives in my aquarium? Right now 3 Fabulous Dojo loaches, 1 Clown L., 1 Angelfish, 3 Black Skirted Neons, 1 Algae Eater, the coolest bristlenose Pleco I've ever seen, every whisher is forked, 1 male betta and ummmmm oh yeah 1 African dwarf frog. (They are all glaring and begging right now!) I removed the dead Gourami....(joke...)

Seriously, MODs!!! What do you think about a sticky stuck somewhere appropriate ,so everyone reads this? It could be rewritten with a couple of links or whatever but the goal is to inform everyone.

peace and Happy Holidays to all-love Mei

Yes, it can kill your other fish, the way I got rid of it was to install a uv filter and that will kill Ed. Everytime you have a new fish, it possibly (and most likely) has been in the same water as an infected fish somewhere down the line. This is SERIOUS, I'm lucky, Doc said it could have killed me. I never had a clue, it just dropped me. Good luck. Loaches are very sensitive anyway.
