when she's bigger and she gives you this look, i suggest you run.
she is plotting your demise...
Thanks on the tattoo:D
Um, if i see that look now, run! she already is plotting. She has calmed down abit, and has become a bit more skittish.

Has she taken food already? :)
unfortunaly not yet. still active and doin well but hasnt eatten which i dont like. The guy who sold her said give her up to a week to get accustomed to her new surroundings, and by then she should eat. Ill give her a few more days before i resort to live(something no caiman can resist)

thanks for all the kind words guys! she is doin well. I worked yesterday so i worried but my wife checked on her all day and she was out and about. Ill keep u guys updated, will prob post update pics next week, maybe earlier.

I will keep updating this thread, as there are very few crocadilian keepers on this site. I know there are people interested in keeping them, so while mine is far from perfect, at least its something. Ill be adding plants and such so plz continue to watch this thread. Thanks for all your support and encouraging!!

PS, Gigas, i believe we made a bet..... u owe me money......... I accept paypal...........

Seems like a typical caiman attitude- plotting to kill you... Really awesome animal though. I hope it starts eating soon. Do you think we can get a vedeo of it eating? It doesnt have to be eating you but that would be a bonus:grinno:. Try putting some live fish in the ponds and see if that will entice it any. Once you get it eating prekilled meals, I would switch to turkey, chicken gizzards, and rats stuffed with Mazuri crocodilian diet pellets and the occasional live fish (tilapia, smallish catfish, or large silversides).

I am really excited for you bro. Keep updating with lots of pics and stuff.

Looks good. Did you ever end up putting the aristolochia vines in? If so, I'm curious as to how well they are doing under the 6500K lights. I haven't had much luck with them anywhere but in the greenhouse. They are one of my favorite groups of plants and have really cool life histories. They also get really, really big. Friend of mine's flowered only after it hit 20 feet up.

LP you're a proud father all over again!

can't wait to see her grow into her surroundings.

Shure hope she starts to eat soon...If I were doing what you are, I must confess I would follow a sligthly diferent aproach. The fact that you already have the adulthood enclosure ready is perfect, however I would start her in a big fish tank full of plants, you know more secretive so that she would feal more safe, I could keep a eye on her and make it easier to have access to her in order to feed without disturbing too much. But I gess it will work your way as well, some time simply has to pass.
