Shure hope she starts to eat soon...If I were doing what you are, I must confess I would follow a sligthly diferent aproach. The fact that you already have the adulthood enclosure ready is perfect, however I would start her in a big fish tank full of plants, you know more secretive so that she would feal more safe, I could keep a eye on her and make it easier to have access to her in order to feed without disturbing too much. But I gess it will work your way as well, some time simply has to pass.

ive always been a fan of the idea of putting the juvie in its adult enclosure and letting it make it its own

The thing is that this is a secretive species, again may or not work, we must wait and see.

Can't wait to see her grow!

The thread spans a year, but if you really look there's probably only about a months worth of actual build progress or worthwhile information, the rest is us ripping Lep for being so slow on updates, and then Lep and Snakeguys little affair...

Im not worried at all. She is very healthy, very active, thermal regualting well. She is still semi stressed but healthy none the less. Im gonna give it another day or so before i resort to live. She has quite a bit of fat, so i know she is gonna starve anytime soon. She isnt a fresh hatchling, if she was I would absolutly be stressing right now. At her size she is well over a year old. I know if offered some goldys(just to get her to start, NOT a main diet, rosy reds are too small) or go and try to net some blue gills from my grandparents, she would take them. Ill keep yall updated. I think where i had the feeding tray made her not want it either. It had some chicken gizzards which Jay says she was eatting, but was too close to the door, and she for good reason stays away from the door. I moved it closer to her burrow and fav pond. That should help drasticly.

Looks good. Did you ever end up putting the aristolochia vines in? If so, I'm curious as to how well they are doing under the 6500K lights. I haven't had much luck with them anywhere but in the greenhouse. They are one of my favorite groups of plants and have really cool life histories. They also get really, really big. Friend of mine's flowered only after it hit 20 feet up.
I put 3 vines in. They seem to be doin ok, but not great. I transplated 6 in other pots, and only 2 survived. it was bad........... Im hoping the ones in the enclosure do well. Im hoping to add the other two plants from the pots soon. they are awesome plants, and i have a TON more of seeds to start more vines if need be
