well, I kind of appreciate what they are doing with the gov. not that I like it or agree but I can see what they are trying to do
they're just trying have the audience see a different side of him. after he lost the prison war, he got depressed and was in a dark place. he wandered around for quite some time and found a new reason to go on living I guess.
it's just that the show was picking up steam and this episode was a momentum killer.
I would not like for him to join the prison. There's just no going back from what happened at woodbury, they are forever mortal enemies. Rick and his group would never take him in. It's just that now I'm a bit confused because he seems to have a chance to start over and leave the past behind him. but then what was up with that episode where he was outside the prison? looks like he was plotting something and just buying his time. so they need to just wrap it up quick because the mid season break is coming. but I have a feeling it will drag all season and will be all over by the end with the gov dying
