The Walking Dead

Tonight's ep seemed kind of boring.

It wasn't as intense as most would have wanted, but I didn't mind it. It was kind of cool so see some of the cool down periods.

At first i thought they were gonna eat it but i thought we'd see more critters collected. All we saw was a missed squirrel, a snake and a lady bug lol

For reals, Daryl was going to town on that snake!

It has something to do with the cure for the zombie epidemic and will be touched on later.

For reals, the whole lady bug thing is buggin' me!

No no, that show just blew an opportunity. Youre talking 3 hours to get interesting????

I do read. I also watch a pretty wide selection of shows. Its just if youre going to take for 3 hours to set up some killer/sociopath crap....I could go watch a large variety of investigative crime/detective shows done in 48 minutes! Sometimes itll string along 3-4 episodes and feel like a movie

I honestly dont get how anyone can defend taking that much of your time to get a show started. Its different to say hey I think if you make it to X, this aspect of the show might appeal to you. (IE spartacus starting off as a love story then switching to warriors and brotherhood) demand more from the directors and writers. It IS a competition after all. They must be doing something right though cuz im hearing from a broad range of people that its one of the top shows ever. Maybe you've forgotten how dry the beginning was because youve finally hit the sweet spot

Its called backstory, things need to be esablished before it gets crazy. HBO shows have a habit of being like a movie in that they start pretty slowly in general. The whole occult thing had me interested from the beginning for True Detective. You had to give Hart time to get back into his Crash alter ego, thats when things got really crazy. Honestly anyone not watching that show is missing out on some raw craziness. Its called True Detective for a reason, what they were going over in the first few episodes is the beginning of the whole investigation process, that if they didnt go into that in detail like they did it wouldnt be nearly as good and the crazy parts not nearly as shocking. I guess until you really commit you cant understand, but getting through the basic backstory stuff in any show/book/movie builds suspense and makes the crazy parts a MILLION times better then other shows/books/movies that start crazy and end crazy

I really, really enjoyed last weeks episode. One of my favorites of this season, the character development is great, the way it was put together was awesome imo. Episodes like this is what i mean by my last point in the previous paragraph kind of getting off topic w/ eddie, they make the crazy parts much better by building that suspense

You couldve shown the back story spliced into the modern day (2002) instead of dedicating 3 episodes (or however many) to it. Its been done before. Worked fine for me.

Glad you enjoy it though

keep this up and you two need to make a true detective thread and take that noise else where

this is for pointless discussion about the walking dead show and who's hotter than maggie

Yeah...stop hijacking the thread with talk of that snooze bowl.
