Michione did lol

I was annoyed with the black and white but it allowed them to squeeze two episodes into one with the flash backs. Was kinda nice.

They could have done without the flashbacks altogether in my opinion and just kept with present time.

Wouldn't it seem incomplete if they just went straight to the "valley" of zombies without ever telling why they were doing this crazy stunt? It would've started with the truck falling with zero back story? We'd know nothing about what has happen since reg died. Just boom here's some strange horde of zombies following Daryl and Sasha

I like that it gave us some sense that some time has passed instead of starting right from that crazy meeting while still filling in the blanks of what's transpired since

Anyways, who's blaring the horns?

If not done properly it would but I think it could have been written to cover what needed to be in order to establish the storyline.

I enjoyed the use of flashbacks and the gray and white for past was helpful in keeping the two time frames separate.

It must be the wolves blowing horn. Did you see the previews for next episode? Looks like its going to be primarily about the people who stayed back, who I all hate.

As someone who have done writing, I can tell you there are goals to make it challenging. I felt it was well done and the black and white made it easier to follow.

I did a story once that jumped all around from present to far past to not so far past then back further in the past...etc.

I will still admit to thinking I have a color TV and I am seeing this in black and white. Overall it was worth it. If the entire episode was in black and white then I would have been pissed.

that episode SUCKED!!!

lol, nah, it was a decent premiere. I also liked the flash backs because it gave us a deeper backstory and insights. although it started getting to a point where it was a bit excessive. I wouldn't want them to do it like this all the time. here and there, every so often is fine when done right.

my only real complaint was the store zombies. before moving forward with such a big plan, they should've cleared out that store right away. I know that the falling big rig forced their hand and they had to go forward with the plan, but I still think when they saw the store, knew it was gonna be a problem, there was a dozen of them there, should've took care of it right then and there

+1 on doing a good job on Heath (the dude that played Dr. Dre in Straight outta Compton)

he is instantly recognizable to comic readers

Weren't they planning on doing it the morning of their 5-6 hour zombie parade? Makes sense to wait of you were planning on doing it way ahead of time anyways

My only complaint was the completely predictable dialogue and killing of Tobin.

If I recall right krich has complained about flashbacks before. Maybe he just doesn't like them period.
