The Walking Dead

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
are they going to DC or to Virginia next? After they wrap up in Atlanta.

from the TWD internet comments, it seems alot of comic readers are in a rush just to get to major destinations. like you fixated on the milestones and arent allowing character development. Not that they're doing the best job in the world at character development as they seem to have to isolate people from the group before they even attempt to develop a character. it's probably why alot of you were complaining about the beth episode. She was painfully underdeveloped as all we'd seen was some suicide attempts and one episode singing/foraging with daryl. The personal connection and character development wasnt there. A major character that we're attached to better die this season. i miss the shock value.

Sasha,Tara and Beth are fair game. I wouldn't count Noah as a main guy.

Even though they could get away with Rosita, Eugene and Gabriel, it wouldn't make sense.

mini spoiler

Abraham may be fair game at the end of the season

the slicing neck executions are by far the most shocking scene of the show's history.

but yea, I would love for them to grow the balls to kill off one of the major characters. not bob level. someone like carl level

people want to move on to the next destination because so far in the comics the best story arc of the comics happens when they get there. and they know that from the time between the cannibals and the next destination, nothing major happens. it's nice they have this little beth arc because it's not in the comics so everyone is going in blind. but unless they do more arcs that aren't in the comics, there is nothing left to do but go to the next destination

the show has never been great at character developments

the best character developments in my opinion happened earlier in the show with rick and shane, the Dixon brothers and glenn. but since earlier times they've done little else to develop them. the only one from them that I mentioned that have seem to continuously develop is daryl. carol has come a long way, but she started to be developed very little in the beginning and blossomed towards the end up to where we are now

other than that, no one has truly drawn me to love their character with the exception of the ones with boobies. and that isn't because of their acting or character development

I loved all the Season 1 references. But for real though, whats up with Maggie not interested in Beth's absence? Or did the writers exclude this for some reason?

I have no clue as to why they pretty much completely ignored maggies lack of interest in beth

and I know the people behind the scenes pay attention to fan rants too

when the girl that plays beth was on the talking dead, the topic even came up and she seemed, to me, to get stuck and just said something like, well they're all preoccupied with the dangers around themselves and blah blah blah

something along those lines

Do you think the writers just forgot? Or are they building it up to something bigger? I wonder if Maggie will all of a sudden wonder where Beth is, now that the mullet has been made.

honestly, I think they dropped the ball

I think they have so much on their plate that they just unintentionally neglected it

that's just my speculation

it's that and their lack of use of successful tactics to get around zombies unnoticed like the zombie gut ponchos and zombies on a leash

it's that kind of ball dropping that is the difference between a good show and a great show
