rotozip bits make easy work of acrylic. u can have it done in about 30min. I also use the rotozip bits and dremel to cut anything to tight for a skill saw like when removing overflows from the bottom of a tank. A rasp also works well but power tools are always quicker than the old fashion way. I'd knock em down a hair. I always like to allow my jumpers a good 3" before hitting the lids.

I ended up dropping the water level to 20 3/4" it took 1/4" of the bow out of the tank. The natural bow when the tank is empty is 3/16" and now its about 5/16" bow so deff has a lot less stress on the tank plus my big fish won't hit their heads on the tops of the tanks. I cut teeth in the overflow but that didn't work so I just cut the teeth out and walla. I now have a 10" waterfall overflow that I'll patch up with egg crate.

Very good news :) glad to hear everythings working out now

Thanks man... It seems to have relieved a lot of the stress off the tank... I'm glad I did it and the gap isn't too bad that a canopy can't cover it up

You think your done worrying about it now for at least a couple days. :chillpill:

How are you going to do maintenance on the sump as it looks real tight under there

Is pretty tight but I can get my arm shoulder and head into the sump.. I'll be running k1 media so besides switching filter socks I don't plan on doing much work inside the sump. But if I need to its possible to get in there
