  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
what are we buying here ,history or quality for 3mil,certainly if you are looking for a good ride any recently made car will make that one feel like you are riding in a barrel ,

Me too and interesting backstory.I wasn't aware that Oldsmobile was under the GM umbrella back then.

They were, I hate it when GM sandbags a car so not to compete with the Vette, I love the Corvette, but the idea that the Corvette HAS to be at the top is not for me, that's one of the reasons I built a VEGA!

So Olds ever an independent company?...and who's to say that the car even would have outsold the vette,it's nice looking enough but maybe, maybe not...Sounds like the big wigs shot themselves in the feet and missed out on some big profits.

Ok, I'll take the bait, WHY would you be ashamed? Do you think it's an ugly car?

Cuz hes probably a BMW guy or is more into the new cars. :barf:

Ive always dug the early olds ohv rocket engines. Never understood the appeal of the early vettes, just poor plastic copys of euro sports cars with the old stovebolt 6 banger.

The 1950s to early 60's american concept cars were amazing.

i think you may be right about the ride in comparing cars of now !.. but I know the prestige and historical aspect can only get even better every year that passes... .They just don't make them with this class anymore.

you think like me.. ;)

That cant be a bad thing
The post saying it would ride like a barrel compared to a new car is incorrect as well. All the weight plus massive shocks and springs with tires that actually have a sidewall (not low profile tires) it would ride like a cloud even at high speeds. The fact that its an olds pretty much guarantees a sweet comfortable ride. It may not handle high speed cornering like a modern sports car, but thats ok because its not one.
