How is he now?

He has settled in really well thanks Bruce. He is eating bloodworm, earthworm and beefheart at the moment. He has a few hiding holes in the wood where he seems to like to carry the food over to and keep it there for a few hours before eating it.

they are so cute when small. Make sure to include the AUL into your will since they will most likely out live you. lolz.:D

I am hoping he does. It would be cool to leave something like that to my children or grandchildren. How big is your guy now?

They grow like weeds.

They are probably the fastest growing fish I have ever kept.

They will slow down considerably once they hit 30cm though.

Thats good to hear! I am looking forward to him being about 6 or 8inches, he just seems so fragile being that small.

Any tips at all I should keep in mind? What do you feed yours? I would like to have him on a varied diet, so i am experimenting with foods at the moment and see what he likes. Loves beefheart and worms so far.

Mine would eat absolutely anything...

They loved protein pellets though. They would go nuts as soon as it hit the water.

They are very hardy fish.
