Unscrew the aerator from your bathroom or kitchen sink and bring it in.

Go to an ace or true value. Usually they have good knowledgeable help unlike the big box home improvement stores.

My new best friend this drinking water hose lol I got the 100ft version. Just did a 50% waterchange on my 180 gallom without lifting a bucket. Only thing is I need a different adapter. I got one for faucets however it dosent fit my sinks. So I had to run it through the connections for a normal hose outside the house this time. But I will see about ordering the one made for the pythons as mentioned in the previous posts. But I have to say adding in prime first then filling is way way easier than filling bucket by bucket and lifting over and over and my fish are 100% fine.

I bought a python, never use it. I cut the gravel vac off, clamped it onto a plain garden hose. Save your money.

I'm not buying the whole python I'm just getting the sink adapter to hook up to my hose. I already got a hose the adapter I bought for it just didn't fit my sink right.

I never liked the idea of wasting "new" water inorder to create a vacuum to get rid of tank water for w/c. I just use good old gravity and drain my tank water into the toilet or onto the yard

you want a brass adapter. plastic is a pain in the tank. accidentally step on the hose when filling and the %&##! plastic ones pop off of the faucet.

My diy water changer fits on my bathroom sink and has a second hose that runs so I can drain the dirty water into the bathtub drain (keeps the misses happy)

I have 2 ball valves on the main 35ft hose. All I do is run the sink to fill the hose and shut the valves to keep it primed. Then I can carry it to which ever tank I choose, flip the valve and the drai. Starts. No running tons of water like I did on my aqueon water changerm.

Lol love the roll mud, I might steal that idea for my python.

As for the sink/hose adapter, I unscrewed the sink nozzle and took it to Home Depot and found 2 pieces that match my needs. cheap and efficient, been using the exact setup for at least 6 years with no leaks or hurdles.

Thanks. It's just an extension cord roll. Makes all the difference.

Mine is a random assortment of brass, nylon and pvc, been leak free for the better part of a year, much more durable than my aqueon setup that broke

Ive got a lot of space under my 40 gallon planted tank, im thinking of mounting a stationary garden hose type reel under there so I can upgrade to a larger hose like 1" or 3/4 and still have it manageable
