These Tanks + This Stock = What Belongs Where?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
All the fore mentioned sound like good scenarios but I have one small alteration. I say keep your festaes and move the motaguenses. Coincidentally I have a tank available and will help you out with re-homing those! :) think about it buddy.....

Tanks (all can handle a serious bioload):
300 gallon (96"x24"x30") x2 Parachromis dovii pair
250 gallon (72"x36"x22")x2 Parachromis motaguense pair, x2 Midevil pair, x8 Myleus rubripinnis "Red Hooks"
120 gallon (48"x24"x24") x2 exCichlasoma festae pair, x1 Semaprochilodus taeniurus "Flagtail / Fei Feng"
55 gallon (48"x12"x21")
55 gallon (48"x12"x21")

I would go this route and see how it works. The festae will need a larger tank at some point. You might be able to switch out the midevils to the 120g but I think the RTM and midevils will look better together then just 4 red fish. 55g can be fry growout tanks or get you come crypto/archo types for them.

300 gallon - Uaru fernandezyepezi and Satanoperca daemon groups with some Ivanacara adoketa for the bottom ...
120 gallon - Satanoperca mapiritensis group ...

Oh wait, I forgot you went north of the border. ;)

I like this arrangement. I know lots of people mix festae with CA, but it just doen't look right so I'd also vote for having the SA's in their own tank.
