hey man nice cats.

i think i don't have to warn you but i'll say it anyway. i'm thinking those oscars are dinner for ur cats someday. i had a 8-10" ish oscar that i didn't think would fit in my rtc's mouth... and u know what happend next:/

anyway, mine grew extremely fast since i got him and slowed down after hitting the 20... it'll be a yearr old soon!:) hes round 25-27" now.. haven't really measured.. maybe coz i got really busy with school stuff... good to see those cats doin good. keep it up man!

It is chance really. My ancient O (7 years old at least i think) has been living with cats since RTCs were puny juveniles ^^. Check it out

PS: haynchinook, i hope you don't mind me posting pic in your thread?

NAW BRO....it's cool.....love to see all aspect of the fish world.... natural habitat.

Looking good. What are the sizes of the kitties in that photo? Feed some shrimp (remove head and tail spike - leave the rest) heheheh may speed up the coloration of fins ...sometimes i just remove the head shell with spike so that RTC can get to eat the orange stuff inside the head.

Are these cats in enough demand at a large size for us to "grow them out" and expect a buyer when we are tankbusted?

That being said, I know the keepers in this thread are very responsible.

I would take on a fully grown fish but for free only (as part of rescue :naughty:). I would not buy one. Overhere that is not really a problem because people got earth ponds.

No... It's very hard to find someone that can take a 3'+ Fish since your talking about custom Tanks/ponds and there isn't a big market there for that at all...They start getting hard to get rid of around the 2' mark but around 3 it's almost impossible ... unless your willing to give it to someone from this site LOL we are the only ones crazy enough to take them on... some of us are dumb enough to have Multiples...and even potenially larger fish

You talking about me? lol. I know exactly what he means. Getting into Monster Catfish usually means a 1000 gal or more tank in your future. For me it means 4000 gal, then phase two a 1000 gal, then phase three a 500 gal, and I've also got a 210 gal I'm building as well. Hopefully my garage won't sink into the earth!

To keep on track those are some awesome rtc, and can't wait to see them full grown in a few years!:headbang2:popcorn:

nice rtc...
