We have always enjoyed Holmes, he was a person that inspired us to buy a fixer and know what to look for and fix it right. Although we still have projects around the house, we don't worry about them burning down the house while we wait to fix them.
We starting watching Tanked, but the lack of actual information was disturbing to me. We wondered how many people would see the show and think it's so easy. I did like the one episode where they went back a built those quarantine tanks, and the feeding tube. Some of the others were just odd. The africans in a barrel were ok, but I hate all the fake coral stuff. Wouldn't it have been nice to use holey rock for that, maybe drilled and anchored to eachother for stability, and yet moveable enough for easy cleaning?
I wish they would do a show with people who have crashed their tanks and killed off the fish, and then they go in, fix the tanks, show the people how to care for them right, and do it within an affordable range for the work they did so people know how much fish can be, but still see it's affordable to do. Kind of like the Take Home Chef show where the chef meets people at a supermarket and then helps them find some ingredients and do some shopping, and then shows the cooking process, and then the meal. Not my favorite show, but a well done show - just makes me hungry for food I don't have...
