I wonder how the ST are getting mixed in with the Indo's?
Just coincidence?

Maybe this is a sign that they're breeding better in the wild...[/QUOTE
i'm sure that there are a bit more in the wild today then about 2-3 years ago.
at one point so many were being exported,eaten,etc...that they were almost under protection but not under the verge of extinction.i was told they still eat the fish but won't allow exportation in thailand.the export permits might have also been denied in cambo and viet as well.the dats in those two countries are same/similar widebars but aren't as gold as the ones from thai.
i guess it depend on the area of the river,ph,blackwater or something.

Like I've said, I have hear rumors of ST breeding in singapore in the early 80's but I have no idea how true these rumors are.

Hopefully the wild population can come back in the next couple of years and hopefully we'll see atleast a few smaller ST's in the hobby, as I'd love chance to grow a small one out.

i was suppose to be getting true widebars last year june time, but it never pulled through.hopefully they will come in confirmed this year.in the previous couple of years ago widebar season for me was always in june- july.the only thing is that i'm almost certain they won't be as abundant like they use to be.

With such advances in science with hormones and etc, there is hope for these fish, aswell as other fish and animal that are slowly going extinct in the wild, and becoming scarce in the hobby.

if it were that easy to get, all vendor would have it.eventually due to competition the price would drop dramatically.again last i heard with the farms in viet and cambo they weren't allowed to farm and export them either.
