That's why i make anyone who comes over feed my oscar! Funny story just came to me actually! I have a quite "hefty" buddy we call "Wu" (but another nick name he has is "Baby-Buddha" get the picture?) Well the first time he approached the tank my oscar FREAKED!!!!!!!! Never saw something that big, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love how smart oscars are

They're probably my FAVORITE fish to own, so much personality! My first oscar never paid attention to the tv (TV was right by my tank then) BUT if i put on a NASCAR race he was pinned to the glass watching! LOL! I always wondered who is fav driver was.....

That's what I call a fish with personality :D

Yea, he never ceased to make me smile! He had sooooo many funny little nuances lol! But the NASCAR thing was for sure the quirckiest and most laughable!

Sadly, i had to give him up coz i didn't have a large enough tank for him.....But he went to my buddies 180 gal so i see him regularily but he doesnt do the NASCAR thing anymore.

Decided yet? Your equipment for a food experiment would be pretty simple. Couple/few ten gallon set ups, or larger divided tank accurate scale that measures to at least the hundredth of a gram. And fish, of course. Becareful when choosing a fish. You want to get fish that all all the same species, same age, and same sex (unless you do a breeding project, but a growth and breeding project is more difficult to measure). They should be juvies so you can measure the growth. The fish need to be large enough to accurately weigh (fancy guppy to small). Anyway, whatever you decide, let me know I'll help out as best I can.

I'm kinda going for the food one, most likely getting one tank that I'll divide to make it all easier. As far as fish go I'm thinking some sort of cichlid (haven't decided yet) but it's gonna be one of the visually easy fish to study.
