Think I am hanging up my fish tank

A $5.00 gecko. When it dies get another one until she's tired of them then you can go back to the fish tank.

You do realize most lizards are far from interactive. It took me about five years to get my iguana to be interactive with me and I had to handle it hours a day for years just to get it like that.

+1 I had a water dragon that was really shy for years it hated people , pretty cool lizards though once settled in , very active and funny to watch ( they need a decent space though to run about )
 
how old is this daughter? i know how this goes though. you gotta make fish keeping exciting. maybe try breeding?
 
Lot of mom and pop fish/pet stores love voluntary school kids also and can be used for community service for graduation credit.
 
Daughter is 10, well this just in… my wife has a baby in her belly so add that to my family i doubt I'll be getting a larger lizard if it is a lizard we get would have to be small, or a tortoise... I did find a crocodile skink looks cool kinda like toothless from how to train your dragon

Hey verbal thanks for the axolotl idea that might just work with the new baby wife won't want anything walking around and it's still in a fish tank love the idea I just looked it up and my 4 year old said ohhh dad I want that lol
