Think the ornate will be eaten?

If it was me I would place the small Ornate in a growout aquarium until it got atleast have the size of the Lap.

Unfortunately I don’t have a grow out suitable for the ornate. Do you think the ornate could go temporarily in a 55 with some shell dwellers? My only other option is to move the lap temporarily to a 120 with a 4” gold wolf fish. Do any of these options sound like a better idea than leaving the ornate with the lap?

Actually I have little 2 gallon I could use to grow it a little more as well.

I would use the 55 because it has more water volume.Just my opinion.

The 55 with the Shellies because the 2 gallon would require every other day water changes for ultimate growth imo. I did raise my Albino Senegal in a 2 gallon for awhile.

Keeping them well fed will definitely help. But no guarantees.

Ok the shellies it is, I have two Endlicheri coming tomorrow too, so depending on how big they are, they might go with the shellies as well lol. I expect the lap to be half this size
