thinking about dovii

I have owned a pair before I was stoked to have them breed in a 125g but when I lost the female I was mad cause I had to downsize there tank. So I just had the male left. Well I finally got the 240g and was stoked to put the male in it with other bigger cichlids and by the next morning 13in Trimac was almost dead because of the Dovii. So I gave the male away not wanting to have just one fish in a tank. Now I have picked up another male that is smaller and I'm going to try it again but with more aggressive Cichlids that I know can hang with him I.E. Buttikoferi, Jag, Midas That's it. Good luck and some of these Dovii can work with other but 9/10 Do not.
 
african pike, odoes are cool... only get 14inch tho and good luck finding a larger one, mines 10inch now!
 
i have a pair of dovii in a large community with a pair of midas, butti and a few others,,, all mid sized in a 300g! dunno if its going to work long term mind.. good luck some are wimps just like people from hard familys lol!

wont do an odoe. my gars have killed a vatf already. so far my mono is good. i also kinda want a sa/ca biotype tank with my stingray and aro. my gar tank is "americas" aswell, but i will have a ck in it. i have been thinking alot about a jag for the gar tank and a pair of chocolates for the ray tank.

i found 3 jags and a dovii. i am getting them now. worst case the dovii doesnt work in the tank i want it to and i have to seperate it. i am getting a good deal on them so ill see how they play.
