Thinking about getting into pikes

Marms are very hard to come by. Now would be the time to grab them if you want them. I looked for them for a few years and never could find them. Now that I don't have space they're available. ;)

Your plan definitely sounds good for college. The only thing I guess I would caution you on is choosing your school based on your fish. The hobby will always be around (maybe not all the same fish) but you are only doing college once and you might as well do whats best for you and your education. I did my four year undergrad 4 hours from home. I maintained some fish at school and my parents killed most of my stuff I left behind. I then did four years of grad school and kept some more tanks but nothing special. I am 5 years out and have more tanks and fish then ever. Just do what makes the best sense for your education and financially. There will be more fish. Though you have some really good schools in your state. Good luck

Alright I pmed him and asked for his number it's always easier for me to communicate than via pm. I've actually been looking for about 7-9 months for raiamas too.
Yeah I'll definetly go with school first. Matter of fact someone is coming tmrw to hopefully pick up my Rays and xingu 1 for like $600. Already downsizing and trying to find a easy to care for fish so I won't feel worried leaving them at home. There are a lot of good schools in our state... My highschool is actually right next to Chrysler arena the U of M stadium like 1/3 the senior class every year gets accepted to U of M so if I do get in that'd be nice but as of now I'm planning for the worst. Plus grad school things could change so I'm going to start getting prepared. Thanks for the advice man I really appreciate it.

looks like you have an awesome collection. So the one of the pikes name is actually punctata blue 33? Where did the 33 come from?

They are cold water venezualens I think from south east cichlids (correct me if I am wrong)

The 33 refers to the town of trienta tres and the 33 patriots that came back from exile in Argentina to help Uruguay achieve its independence from brazil. It's more of a collection point. I'm going to start them. In their cool down period today (hopefully get a spawn) after I come home from school. I made a thread on them actually a few days ago I'll keep updating that ;)
