So you can't put a heater in the tank for the winters and a chiller in the tank for the hot summer months while its in the garage? I'm sure you can find a chiller for the tank at a pet store to keep the water from getting too hot during the hot summer months in the garage.

The cost of a chiller for a 300gallon would be immense....unkess you know something I don't on where to find a cheap one.

Hm.. this is a tough decision since this is a gem of a foot print yet you can not use it in your current house.

If your stock will out grow your current tank now in a year. I would sell it and buy something larger.

But if your tank mates will be ok in their current condition, I would keep that tank to be the ultimate show piece to grow out a Hoplias Aimara when you move.

The only fish that will need a bigger tank is GSP my Fahaka puffer. Maybe I will explore the house and look at what I need to do...I was thinking about taking off BOTH sliding glass doors and moving it in that way. Anyone ever done this before?

if you cant fit it inside the house and the garage has no ac and your in az = death. i would sell it and get something with more length. the height on that tank is too tall, cleaning and scaping will be a pain in my opinion.

like everyone said, these are great dimensions (and very hard to come by)...this will make an awesome show tank. but ultimately it's up to you , based on your current situation and future plans.

When I had sliding doors, they just lifted up and out of the track to have the whole width of the frame. If you have sliding doors, I would see how big of a pain it would be to remove them.

As far as moving the tank, get a piano dolly or two. set them under the tank and roll it wherever you need to go. Lifting on the stand would be the only issue.

That's what I was thinking and gonna try first. I do not know that I would even use the stand as the tank on stand is taller than me and I am 6 feet tall...
