Thinking about this light:

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
did you put the sand in before or after the water was in? You really should do your rock work first, then add sand, then add water. This will help keep the water clearer, and you won't have to worry as much about unstable rocks.

:iagree:

water first, rock second, sand 3rd then top off the water.
theory behind it is that it's easyer to mix the salt in the tank rather than in a garbage can or something like that, which we now have to do.

That was the plan atleast...

Seeing as how this threads topic has changed somewhat...

How many of these badboys you think i'll need for a 90 gallon? and what GPH?

2x 3's?
1x 3 and 2x2's?

depends how many outlets you're going to have free

i like to use one or two for the "main" flow in the tank and 1-2 smaller ones to eliminate dead spots

Hmm, reef is built, I'll show you guys a pic in a second.

But the ready water in the garbage can we prepared before hand is around 96 degrees!

Anyway to cool it down faster besides adding cold water? we don't have a chiller.

Here's some pictures of the reef as of now:

Is 88.4 to hot to add it? what if i add it gallon by gallon, should cool down then.

It's just not cooling down at all, it hasn't even gone down a point of a degree in the past half hour.

This is it right now, as full as we can get it as we ran out of salt :irked: found a free InstantOcean beach towel at the bottem though  just a bit dehydrated...
