Just go on craigslist.com and browse around for cheap tanks in the pets/general/household sections. I'm sure you'll find one for a good price. I would try to find a tank no less than 125g
dont waste money on small up grades.....if you cant afford atleast a 125 gallon tanke return the fish to the fish store.....if you do get only a 125 gallon then let the fish pair up and keep only one pair
+1 for looking on craigslist. I got a 150 gallon and a stand for $100.
I still can't imagine four, 4" oscars in 10 gallons of water... it boggles the mind...
I love fish, plan and simple. The oscar are the first fish that I have had in about 10 years and I really wanna get back intothe hobby of fish. So buy the time that I get to the 'big tank' (240 gallons im guessing by what the comments are telling me) then I would have about 5-6 tank just sitting around. Time to add new fish to the collection. Basically I would have more tanks in the longer run and I would be able to put the fish in the tanks and go from there.
You said the Oscars are the first fish you have kept in about 10 yrs so you have kept fish before. If you don't mind me asking What have you kept in the past??? Cichlids???? 4 (4" oscars ) in a 10 gallon WOW!!!!!!!!!! You should know that they can't live in a 10 gallon and I am surprised none of them have died yet. If you want to keep ALL 4 then you need nothing less then a 180 gallon now not later a one 125 will be good for a while but they do grow like weeds and are really messy fish and all they do is eat eat eat!!! And I wanna see pics please
