So I've found a guy somewhat local with a 5-7" silver arowana and I'm curious are they hard to take care of ? Are they aggressive towards others ? I plan on housing him with 2 oscars, and 2 peacocks, and I do have a BGK but he retarded and sits in his cave 24/7, can I feed them NLS 4.5mm floaters like I do with everyone else ?

Any help would be great

+1 on the tank size...large cichlids can be known to "beat them up" since they will be below them. There's also some issues with drop eye in them. THey are amazing fish if you have the tank though.

Tank size is the biggest issue, ive never known a silver to be aggressive. Oscars may bully the silver. I kept one with two Os before, they did alright but the aro had some obvious stress from the Os. They occassionally bullied the silver but nothing serious. Either way, the occasional bullying left the aro skittish and constantly fearful. Not the best choice for a tankmate

Ya like I meant to have no later then xmas the following year, they grow 1" a month right ? And within 2 years are usually 20-25" do they not ?

In my opinion it is much harder to keep aro's that are less then a foot long idk why I just feel more problems happen to them when they are young.
