Thinking of a doing a Fahaka setup.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The Fahaka is still hiding in the same spot moping around. Won't eat the crab I out right in front of it.

I've read post where Fahaka can act different after the introduction of tank mates. I wonder if this is the case and he just needs to adjust.

That's very normal for puffers. It's been a very busy week form him, give him a while to settle and he will be fine. Mine frequently gets it strops for various reasons if she doesn't get what she wants.

Here is a quick video. Fahaka is hiding bu you can see its tank mates. Hooping he lets them stick around.

i agree with Achilles1763, your puffer has been through quite a lot of traveling and surrounding changes... give him a week or so to perk back up.... if he doesn't perk up after that, then need to start looking into why hes still not happy...

Thanks. I'll keep an eye on it. WA him out and about earlier tonight.

The Fahaka is all out and about. He just made munched on a crayfish right before I shot this.

I want to really say thank you to Fat Homer Fat Homer and Achilles1763 Achilles1763 for all the help with getting me started. I really appreciate it.

Not a problem dude, always happy to help and especially with fahakas as they are my favourite fish. Tank looks great in your latest post, good luck with him long term.

Here are some updates pics that show the setup and tankmates clearer. One of my pairs of Hemichromis Sp. Bangui even spawned. 2 of the Congo tetras have been eaten but the puffer leaves the jewels and kribs alone.
