Thinking of buying a SA lungfish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hello all,

I happen to have an African Lungfish. His name is Lungey. I got him when he was about five inches long. Quite the small fry. The aquarium/fish store guy sold him to me wasn't sure he was going to survive because he didn't have any of his appendages, his tail had been chewed off, and wouldn't feed. I hand fed him rosies and slowly but surely, his appendages miraculously started to grow and his tail began to heal. Well, now I've had him for 11 years and he has grown to a healthy two and a half foot long. Lungey is surprisingly active and will usually track you as you walk in front of the tank.
When it comes to feed, he knows that when I tap the glass, it's time to eat. I've given him everything from rosies, guppies, tetras, to fresh veggies, and his all time favorite, algae chips. Iphone82313 868 - Copy.JPG

Lungey is friendly ... that is, unless you are a fish that is. He usually does not mind when you touch him and does not stress if/when you remove him from his tank. I have moved him from state to state and rode shot gun in a wired aquarium in my car. I am to move again and unfortunately, I can't take him with me. I have to sell him. Anyone interested?
