I am thinking of moving to Australia in a few years, as it take a lot of time and paper work to make that happen because unlike Canada they dont accept bums.... and this country is getting lame or should I say this country's inhabitants are getting lame...

I have searched few things on fish in Australia on this site and have found that some of the fish are more expensive. But I was wondering what kind of fish you can get there and what you cant.

Right now I am keeping 6 Dats 1 Leopard Ctenopoma 1 Tiger Oscar 1 Silver Aro, and after the move and I get settled in I would like to get the same stock, would that be possible?

If I do move to Australia I will 99% be moving to Ocean Grove, Victoria as I have Family in that area, and it is closer to the Canadian Climate minus the snow :D....

ah, u'll be moving within 1 hour drive of me!! hehe tiger oscar yes, leopard yes, dats maybe find some in syd ($$$), silver available in sydney...most ppl will ship to vic!

we would all like to move with you lol.. i bet its beautiful there..

Bugger off, we're full ;)

Seriously though, come to Queensland, all the Victorians do anyway!

I promise i wont clog the dunny :D

I might consider Queensland but my family is in Victoria so I dont want to be to far from them...

My dad wants to retire there, I'd love to ride that train that goes from one coast to the other...

Yeah one thing about fishkeeping here is most of the cool fish like Dats and silver arows are illegal imports so the prices are $350+

Come to New Zealand instead. Silver arows are only $100+ here:D

We do get the same thing with saltwater fish though. Theres a 2 week quarantine so a clownfish costs about $70. I was suprised you can get them cheap in other countries.

I paid $40 w/ tax for the Silver I have now... I cant wait for the move :nilly::grinno:

I will have to smuggle my fish in my pants :D try and save some money...
