$130+ last time I went to HFF.
I keep thinking the opposite, move to the US or Canada so I can keep all the cool fish that I can't get here (lower jaw poly's, pbass, uaru F's, black aro, etc etc). GF's not at all keen, she'd rather head to the UK where she has family.

Sounds great, apart from the fact that you'd have to keep them all in a 55g in your 10m² apartment.
LOL:ROFL:. I think you can get silvers for $100+ from that new animates pet shop in Albany but I could be wrong. Which HFF do you go to, Albany or Mt Roskill?

I'd rather go to the UK where fish are still as cheap as the US and fish shops are incredibly abundant. Have you seen how many Maidenhead Aquatics shops there are!
U.K also has a public health benefit scheme in case you get horribly bitten by your Armatus or whatever.

Sammy, I go to both, but usually Mt Roskill cos its closer. My parents bought my first goldfish from there when I was about siz, so theoreticly I've been a customer there for 21 years!

Mystix, I've never heard of Maidenhead Aquatics, nor even really looked at which has more shops. I just see people posting pics of endli's and rays and start dreaming. UK wouldn't be bad, but I'd rather go somewhere that gets more than two days of sunshine per year.

I dont know about that, I havent been to Japan before so I dont know if I would like it and they already have too many people...

I would like to have a big family and in Japan I would be restricted to 1... since I was an only child I dont really want just one...

i believe the 1 child restriction was for china, not japan. either way that restriction has been abolished.

the problem though, is that it is difficult to obtain citizenship from japan when you're not born there. i think this is because they need to protect their hot asian women from foreigners.

you can always fish for a jardini or a lei :)

You wont go wrong in Vic mate, it's a great state. Just one thing with the silver aro, they are on the grey list which means you will probably have difficulty getting one, like most asian arowanas, i've already tried.

Grey list??

on the border line of being extinct...

Well as for costs, it looks like I would be making the same as I do now if not a little more (I am Carpenter), and depending on the kind of place you want rent is pretty cheap (so I can save to buy a house).

as for cost of filters I think I will just bring the ones I have and just buy a tank and stand when I get there, from what I have seen tank setups are a little cheaper then big al's here...

I still live at home so that is one way to move out lol, see ya mom I moving to the other side of the world to the land of down under :screwy:

victoria is the worst state for fish other than tassie, however sydney is great...only a 9 hour drive for me hehe

I have noticed there are a few stores in Victoria, have do you know of a store called Coburg Aquarium? from what I see on their site they look pretty good.
