I wouldn't want a squirrel released right by my house either. They can cause a lot of problems. Let it go where you caught it and keep your cat under control if you have a problem with it hunting.

wow.....:irked:

who was there first people or the arizona ground squirrels? the wildlife was there first and IMO the people should deal with them either catch and relocate or just let them be.... there are ways for keeping AZ ground squirrels out of areas such as wire fences... and i doubt they would burrow cuz our soil is rock.... no dirt just rock.

we don't have a problem with our cat hunting but it is killing a Arizona species and we dont want to see a species going extint.....

the squirrel would've been released on city property...... the lady had no say in telling us not to release it there... not on her or any of her neighbors' property... she could ask us not to release it there in a nice matter instead of screaming and cussing at us... she says that she captures and releases them (yeah right she probably kills them)..... People are constantly destroying animals habitats and IMO if someone wants to live somewhere that was the animals home they should not kill or even mess with the animals.......

its not right to take an animals habitat and it especially isnt right to kill them:irked:

I like squirrels :D

yea some people in az are crazy when i was around 15 years old i was visting my grandpearents and i was walking around on their 6 acers of land i was trying to ceatch rattle snakes like i always use to one of there neighbors shot me with a bb gun on the side of my neck and said to me u shouldnt play with rattle snakes............ so i went back to there house and showed them my neck and i still had the bb in my neck from the *** hole so we went to the emergency room and got it removed from my neck......... the guy already had a few werrents for his arrest and then got the assult with a deadly wepon on a minor................. his excuse was he was hunting for squrrils and he miss fired and shot me in the neck............ i think he still might be in jail for it 2................ just goes to show that people are stupid and if u cant deal wit the wild life around u u shouldnt be liveing in the middel of the country...............

We aren't the only ones! I like seagulls and crows, too. I used to feed the seagulls by hand at school. Not that they needed it; a steady diet of pizza crust and french fries makes for huge, pretty, short-lived birds as it is...
Oh, I almost forgot! I pulled into Weinerschnitzel one day and a seagull bigger than most cats landed on the hood of our car! His talons (they really were) scratched the paint as he just sat there waiting for a handout. I don't remember what we did, but the image of that powerfed beast still lurks in my mind!
I used to feed the squirrels toast in my backyard. I had one tamed for a little while. Good times with city animals! I wish I'd known more about nutrition back then. Oh well.

here's what you do, catch a few hundred ground squirrels, and then in the middle of the night release them all into her yard :D

Ummm, you relocated it because you invaded its habitat. Not a very good argument. By your reasoning you and your family should be moving.

I will agree that she should have asked you nicely not to release it there. I hate when people go off on me for not reason like that.

not listening... we relocated it because it would've been killed by our cat... we love squirrels and other animals... trust me the best thing we would've loved to do was release it in our backyard, but we knew it most likely would've been killed.

i think you should reread before you post and would you please stop posting in at least this one of my threads.

Thanks.:)

BTW did i say we were capturing and killing it/the squirrels? nope. like i just now post we relocated it to save its life... theres a difference between that and relocating it because we hate them... but obviously you dont realize that... :screwy::irked:
