I love the top pic ..it is just so serene looking with the water flowing over the logs. or is that shale{rocks } or combo of both ....is that man made?

Great shots of the cats, tRIP. I just had my favorite cat pass away in my arms Saturday morning. She had been sick for a while. We woke up and she seemed to be doing worse. I was still in bed. My wife picked her up and laid her on my chest. I just kept petting her and told her it's ok to go on. She finally let go and that was it. :(

Thanks MrRnger. Sorry to hear about your cat :( How old was she?

This october will be 2 years ago that we had to have my mom's main coone put down, he lost all control of his hind legs and was just dragging along. It's the worst part of having a pet but all the great times and memories with them make up for it.

We're not sure how old she was but I know she was older. She had that old lady meow and didn't move quite like a kitten or have the energy. She was kinda like me, fat and lazy. My brother-in-law rescued her and we watched her while he went on vacation. I grew fond of her and we ended up never giving her back. lol I think she had some kind of cancer. Her eyes kept getting blurry and her hind legs would tighten up to where she couldn't walk right. Finally the day before she passed I couldn't get her to eat. I think it's better that she's not in pain anymore.

:( That's the best way to look at it.

Like the story of how you got her. Sounds like something I'd do lol

Slash the big guy in the first pics was rescued @ just a couple weeks old. Some d-bag threw him out his truck doing 80 on the highway, luckily a friend was behind him and stopped just inches away from the cat to save him and I ended up getting him. I named him while I was on a GnR kick and he was using his claws a lot then too. He's about 10 months now

Abigail (the calico) I ended up driving 4 hours to get from a friend on another forum I go to. Her cat got knocked up, had 3 kittens and I got pick of the litter through pictures. Named her after my favourite King Diamond album :D She's around 7 or 8 months now.

Yeah. My dad is in over his head in cats he's rescued. He keeps trying to pawn them off on me. He works at an apartment complex. It's amazing how many people leave behind their pets. He also rescued a pit/beagle (yes I typed that right) mix that I'll probably take when we get our new house in a couple of months. She's a big fat bundle of joy and listens really good. The people that had her used to beat her.

wow, sounds like a drunken night of dog keeping to get a mix like that lol. I really can't understand people that abuse animals. The area I live in is full of abandoned cats animal control won't do anything about it and I can't afford to take care of all of them. Luckily there's a few people around here that will leave food out for them. I feel real bad for them when the cold weather comes.

i am sorry Mr.Rngr on the loss of your beloved cat.. the only thing i can say is despite that she did not feel well all the time she felt secure and loved.. that helps make the pain she had a whole lot less.. and even at the end she felt those arms around her and those gentle pets.. good luck with the new dog when you get your house.. sounds like a sweet bundle..
