This came in a "feeder" shipment, ID please

As stated, this came in with some comet goldfish from a not fully known source to a local petsmart, out of curiosity can anyone tell me what it is?
Suspected NA Sunfish family but can't be completely sure.
All help is appreciated!

green perch is a common name for green sunfish, so yes, he is still right

you sure buddy i've been fishing these guys out here in ca since i was 5 and thats the common name here hahaha
