crappie is different we have those here too the common name we use for sun fish here is bluegill i don't really care if you guys try to flame on me but I'm just letting you know from a cali prospective
sorry, but we did try to check the ID, and just didn't feel confident in our own assessment and wanted a second opinion before deciding to get this fish, its only in a cup to try to get a closer picture (it was in with a bunch of similarly sized jack dempseys and was keeping them in line so was constantly on the move when in tank)

You are now indeed the proud owner of a green sunfish. Greens typically reach 6-8", but exceptional fish may reach 12". They are very hardy and can be kept in pretty much any water so long as it's clean. Room temp is ideal, but they can tolerate some heat if the water is well oxygenated. I'd say a 29 or 30 gallon would be OK for one fish for life, though bigger is always better.
You've already noticed it's aggression, which is typical for the species. They can be kept with other sunfish and other assertive mid-sized fish, or large schoolers (anything that is too big to be eaten and doesn't look like a sunfish is likely to be ignored).
