I don't think that lack of space would cause such a severe deformity. I think he or someone else may have had something to do with that.

That's what I was thinking because they all look deformed the same way , maybe born deformed fry and grown that way , either way its very odd :(

I agree It is much more severe than the typical scoliosis in fish.

Scoliosis, lordosis, kyphosis!

D) all of the above

This has to be man made. Whether from cramped quarters, or physical trauma. Low odds there are this many naturally deformed in one clutch of fry.

PS. Scoliosis is a lateral curvature of the spine. Kyphosis is with the bulge of curve facing posterior, lordosis is with the bulge of the curve facing anterior.

This owner should be slapped in the face with a bag of nickels.

And then he acts proud posting them all over face book. He's obviously way over stocked and cramped. And as bad as I'd love to keep a snakehead but can't cuz I'm in he US it's pretty sad to see someone housing them in such a piss poor way. Bad form dude

I also agree
He must've bent the fish when they were young and they just grew like that afterwards.

Is there anyway it could be disease, water perimeters or a deficiency? I don't see what he would gain out of this? Is it a cultural belief or fashion? I'm just confused as to why anyone would do this if it's deliberate?
