Duke33 - No, fishing does not piss me off, I go fishing too. This however it not "Fishing". Do you make a habit out of shooting your fish too?
Nic - It's not meant to be a "Flame" or "War", it's meant to call this person out publically, and if they wont respond, to have myself and others share their opinions and concerns with this. I have no intrest in tearing her down personally, or attacking her, but I absolutely will tear down what she did, that's not true sports-manship, that's just cruel and unecessary.
Zoodiver - Exactly my point, thank you! Acting as if you are tough or righteous for what you just did, when there is a gaping gun shot wound in the animal is rediculous. True sportsmen who fish for sharks will tell you that under most circumstances, they catch and release. Sure there are ones who dont, there are "bad apples" in every sport/business/etc., but those who appreciate, respect, and love these animals will all tell you that this is not ok in their book, nor is it ok in mine. I spend endless hours every damn day working with sharks, and trying to educate people about sharks, entice them to want to learn and grow to love and respect these animals. We routinely deal with poachers, finners, and sportsmen - gone - bad, and its never pretty and always disheartening so yea, to see someone on here who is a member of a fish-loving society, it's disturbing to see not only this action, but also the arrogance displayed.
Milkman - Again, thank you!! There was NO indication given that this animal was consumed, however, if you look at the rest of the album (the link is on the bottom of the first post), then you will see that it was indeed mounted. This is a total waste because as Milkman stated, you can have an animal Tax'd from a photograph, it no longer requires molds of the animal its self - AND even if the mount was created from that photograph, and not the sharks its self - They still shot the shark, its still dead, and no one ate it, so now its just waste - Now what.
