If you took the time to read everything instead of just skimming, you will notice that Tongue33 changed his opinion on the issue, as well as the fact that a pm had already been sent, and an e-mail was also attempted. Further more, its not an attack on her, once more, read.

And Tongue - I agree on changing the title, going to do that now.

And in addition, I have no objection to hunting or fishing, I too fish. Those are not the points that were made, nor were those sports slammed.

Agreed - Hunting & Fishing have their place. Deer Hunters preform a service to help control wild populations of deer. Also most hunters & fishermen(that keep & kill they catch), tend to eat the animals they kill. And there's nothing wrong with that.

But then I don't call using a gun to kill a shark - Sport.

Also true - those that fin Sharks, for Shark Fin soup - kill many more sharks than most sport fishers do.

But I think what inflames so many people on this board about this - is that many Shark species are either endangered or have had serious population drops in the past few decades due to careless actions of humans. In addition any time unusual cruelty to an animal is shown, it tend to greatly inflame people.

Girly....Huh! Is this site run by peta? This crap makes me sick! If it wasnt for fisherman and hunters the population would be to great. Animals would be dieng from over population. So I think sport fishing and hunting is great...

I still do not see a problem with what she did. Nobody even knows the reason she killed it. SHe might have ate it? SHe may have found a dead shark...knobody knows.

Yeah girly. How tough is it to shoot a vegetarian that would have run from you if it saw you, probably from atleast 50-100 metres away with a rifle. Wow tough. If ya wanna be tough go try catching one with ya hands. Bet it would have kicked the **** out of you.
I have no issues with ppl hunting for food whatsoever. And i feed my fish live food every now and then too if that means anything. I just dont see the point in shooting something thats scared of you for no reason. Its like being a bully. Its abit pathetic.

I agree they have a place now. As you stated before the only reason we have to do that now is because the top preds in the area have been wiped out. Killing sharks is just as dumb.

If things like this continue, other species like this hammerhead will just end up like the Yangtze River Dolphin....disappearing off the face of the planet due to stupid people.
I too have no problem with fishing for food....in fact I'm going fishing sunday. But I wouldn't kill an animal for the sake of killing it. Shooting a hammerhead with a shotgun? What the hell good is that? All she did was kill a beautiful animal so that she could hang it up on her wall. Its disgusting and things like this is what causes us to kill off some really amazing animals.

As Emi has stated - she's not trying to flame the girl. Her "attack" (as you call it) is more of a constructive critism, and bring to light bad behavior - instead of true flaming.

If you're wonder what would happen if Emi was really attacking her -- well let's just say - have you seen "Air Jaws". Now imagine the girl that shot the hammerhead as the verbal equivalent of a Seal - and Emi as the verbal equivalent of a Great White Shark. Get the Picture?

My opinion on the publicity of the original named thread is in Post #47.. Look at what Aussie quoted.. My opinion there still stands.. What I did agree about has nothing to do with the quote in post #47 ,From me that Aussienative Quoted.. Read post #42 If there are any questions to what I agreed about. As I am not following this thread any longer As I believe the thread is trashed And the opinions asked for are now diluted in the back and forth debates about intentions..
