2 of the larger pieces are attached to a 8 foot 1x6 running on an angle above them. The board is hidden by the floating plants.

Without doing that they would just float out of position and upend some of the plants in the tank when moved by the current from the filter.

The board works well.

Here are a few pics of one of my 3 foot deep tanks. It was the mbu puffer's but my daughter changed it to a discus tank for me. The puffers old tank is in my signature. The 2 big tanks are 6 feet and 9 feet deep.

Sorry the pics are not very good but at least I can use a camera again.

Love the Drift wood. My next monster tank i will be going tall and deep.

Still working on it, but here's my 150G tall so far...

As far as height, I have a hyper Hornwort at the moment. It went from 8" to 28" in 3 days. Yesterday, I folded it in half and replanted it in the middle. It's already close to 3" from the water line again.

Tank dimensions are 48" X 24" X 30" tall

This is my 360. 44" deep and a PITA to clean. 1" thick acrylic.

Seriously though, thank you. It's a work in progress, but I am having fun with it! Now that most of the major expenses are out of the way, I am trying to budget $25 a week for plants, rock, driftwood, etc.

I am anxious to get my Makobe Isands in the tank!

The right side of 210. The gourami's were food! But I'm going to get my tank all looking nice and then get my friend to take professional pics of everything. I also have a 110 tall, cool tank. My altums will be going in there when they outgrow the 46 bow. Thats a 14" tigrinus for perspective. 30" high i believe.
