Awesome tank man, love the bass, especially that huge lunker with all the red, and the tems. What's the red fish in there, I think it was in the first pic? Looks like one of those red pacific salmon with the long jaws, but I'm thinking it's some kind of pike?

I've got a 72"x18"x30" tall tank (170G), I'll throw some pics up in a bit as it's finally looking decent. I love the height. I wish it was wider, but I'd never want a tank <30" tall again. Moving deco/wood/plants around is sort of a pain, but the look is worth it. And for folks who claim the space is wasted, it's not...that height = more volume = more bioload.
thanks, ive gotten rid of the bass recently though :( the red fish is a xingu I pike

JC may i ask why you got rid of the bass? I want to center my tank around my Pikes i have. What route have you taken since they have been gone?

sweeet I found the pic's

this is truly the first tank that has made me feel small

this is a tank that is almost 8 feet tall at the top of the canopy, it is located in one of the tanning salons here in regina. If the guy ever goes to sell it he said he would give me dibs almost $10,000 of tenecor craziness.

the tank itself is 4 feet tall not sure on the gallons

These tanks look sweet got to be one pain in the butt to vac the substrate though. My tanks 25 inch's high and I have to put my whole arm in still cant reach the very bottom. When I stir up my sand I have to use a wooden spoon.

30" tall but short compared to ^ :D.

i had too many big fish and my bioload was too hard to maintain in a 400g, so i downsized to almost nothing. still not sure what direction i want to take

For cleaning, I bought a 48" length of transparent PVC from aquaticeco.com and sealed a reducer end-cap that fits the hose from my python gravel-vac. Cleanings a somewhat dryer process now (with the exception of splashing from the bigger critters).

I am subscribed and thanks for the huge laugh

I love the saying

What is funny is people walking by wondering why I am laughing looking at me like im crazy.

perhaps I should leave it open to suggestions.

I have thought of cutting out the overflow and sealing the bottom to gain the corner.

Ok I will put this tank out for ideas on this thread, keeping in mind here in the wasteland of fishkeeping certain fish are not available.

I am open to ideas this tank has sat empty for almost a year :WHOA:

BTW, Scott what monsters are you interested in?
