This is frustrating guys!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
hey i couldnt afford the setup i wanted for my aros at the time so i set up the cheap 750 and i am so glad that i did my aros are happy with so much room to stretch

see heres a twist

you dont have to blow 2000 bucks on a big acrylic/glass tank

rottbo found a way to house his fish an inexpensive way

its not the prettiest set-up ;), but its better than a small tank :grinyes:

if you dont ahve space, then you make space. if it was me id get rid of the damn couch and table set against the wall

hell id sell it and spend it or save it on stuff for the arowana :headbang2

but seriously what i mean is that sometime when they by the fish, they go, "check out my new silver!!!, Its in a 55 grow out tank, i dont have a bigger tank for him at the moment, but i plan on getting a biger tank, and sometimes that bigger tank is usually a 125 :WHOA: ,oooooooooor they sell it or jsut get rid of it completely.......:(

thats how i meant to put it.

and its well put

you plan it out but you never execute that plan, because of variables in your life you cant conrtol !!! ,

/rant over:cry:

you shouldn't generalize so much. not everyone lives like a victim

its good you opened up this issue coz i think opinions should be raised on this one. i get your point, and i definitely understand the frustration, you're right. but i also agree with Wes, that we should not generalize. MFKing after all is a hobby where we can only be enriched by our mistakes

its funny cause i try not to generalize and be as specific as possible but i end up doing it anyways :(

at least you see my point though :)

well i guess its hard not to generalize when you really want to put some stress on a certain point . at least someone is giving a shout on this matter coz there really are countless of aros out there that are dying coz theyve been bought out of instant attraction. these buyers cant really be blamed though, i mean aros are DAMN gorgeous! i just hope this thread is given attention by those who are considerring to get an aro coz they just passed by one at an LFS

i agree to a point but i know a lot of people who have done exactly this and have big or even huge tanks now.
i even had a green aro in a 85g until it was around 12'' before i got my bigger set up, i always said i would upgrade and had every intention of doing so and i am sure a lot of other people do too.
