This is how i know im a noob..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
lol if you are talking monster or predatory fish, we have all done this. I was particularly bad at underestimating what catfish can swallow. I dont know how many fish I lost to my pike cichlid, bichirs and catfish. Size is always important. Even peaceful fish will aggressively hunt down other fish if they are small enough. For years I lost school after school of neon tetras until I finally caught my botia hunting.

To save you future headaches, if you are ever not sure about size compatability use a grow out tank. With monster or predatory fish, there will always be a small risk even if others on MFK have success

I have to agree... prolly 99% of us have made this type of mistake with predetory fish at one point or another and those that haven't either listened to very good advise from somene who did make the same mistakes.. or sheer dumb luck... I lost a 4" aba aba knife to a 3" TSN at one point.... had no idea the tsn was remotely capable of eating something bigger then itself.. I use to keep Oscars in 40 gallon tanks.. youu name it.. Knowledge is power as the lame but true saying goes. learn not to make the same mistakes twice.. and be honest to yourself and ideally others about what you do and don't know.

I remember I put some small corys in a tank with a 6" Oranda thinking "It's just a goldfish" I came home and it it had a cory lodged in it's mouth. Must have been like that for hours. I was a kid had no idea what to do they both died. Don't feel bad crap happens, learn and move on.This was long before there was an MFK or internet or computers..........we did have the light bulb, I rember.

i lost 3 pbass to a tsn in one night. very sad.

You will learn from your mistakes

probably only with those you started name calling.

Gill makes a good point, you owe some people an apology, you should really take care of that. If you're worried about your reputation, it would be a good step forward to be the bigger man and rebuild those burnt bridges.

Hmm dont want to do that
What should i do ?

Sent from my SPH-L710 using MonsterAquariaNetwork App

If you can't keep the fish, the best thing to do would be to find a new owner for it.

EDIT-

I also wanted to point out that I knew the story of what happened after just reading the first sentence LOL

I decided to get a senigal birchir (3inches).i already have a largemouth bass(6inch).

Happens to all of us.

Years ago i put a big Jag in a tank where i had a bigger RTC.

Poor jag, and it was big, did not even reach the bottom of the tank....
