As long as bills are paid it's all good. I'd suggest he seems like he's kinda ok with it but girls have that power over men. As long as you are fair with him for his stuff if he has stuff then it's all good. My ex was not, if it wasn't for her or in her interest it wasn't needed or wanted or tolerated. I never tried to hide anything from her. Maybe I should have. I wasn't always 100% honest with the price especially when corals were involved.
Haha I actually encourage his hobbies so he cannot bother me about mine.
just two years ago he was wining about always wanting a Harley...well I pushed him to splurge and get one...he’s so glad he did.
sometimes neglecting to tell the whole trust his necessary and beneficial...like oh I got new fish, but don’t mention how many or how much. Not a total lie!

This is so true. It reminds me of when we moved into our house six years ago. We were spending a fair bit of money on one thing and another to do with the house. Then I spotted a brilliant deal on a carbon fibre racing bike. I knew my wife would frown upon it so I had to smuggle it into the house and hide it in the spare bedroom behind a huge sheet of styrofoam meant for future fish tank stand builds. I didn't tell her until months later, lol. And of course separate bank accounts help with this sort of behaviour too.

Well. I have successfully broken my wife- I told her about a sexy blue Asian aro that I really want that is 5k and she didn’t even flinch. I have brought home some of the craziest fish I can even think of such as gatf and payara and she thought they were cool.
I seem to have the same deal here, as long as the bills are getting paid and fish expenses come out of my “allowance” no worries. Unfortunately the bills weren’t getting paid last few months and a few new fish have found their way toward me, so I may have racked up a bit of debt ??
snowballs are nice looking little creatures. I picked up a group of 8 of them a few years ago for the price of one from a breeder friend. Unfortunately a few days later they all died super quickly, and I have hated plecos ever since.
