allergic reactions like that are always worse the next time. The get progressively worse with each occurrence. Next time you could go into anaphylactic shock. Carry an Epi Pen always or next time could be the last time.

Absolutely. +1 good advice. Don't mess around with this stuff, it's insane.
 
Thanks for the advice guys and I did end up getting and epi pen to carry the doctor told me what ang said and it could be worse next time especially since I had such a bad reaction this time and I do think this is the first time I've ever been stung. The swelling went down about 80% my hand still hurts a little bit but its not major.

An epi pen is the best. But in a pinch using benadryl could even save your life. I'm not allergic to bees but I am allergic to ingesting shrimp, lobster and any kind of alcohol. I'm also allergic to most all forms of penicillin. I've used the benadryl in a pinch when I've had reactions. It bought me some time to get emergency care

I actually use Benadryl most the time when I have bad reactions to food too.

Glad you're ok Doomie

Also, carry Benadryl WITH Pepcid AC. I know weird right? The Pepcid helps the Benadryl work faster. So if you get a reaction, take both immediately as well as the Epi Pen.
