rmorse is right, i have a red ear slider that i thought was sweet.i put my oscars in w/ him a couple days ago, and my tiger has a split tail now. It's their instinct. He will grow curious and eventually bite at it.I had to put a separater in until I build the turtle pond.

Take it easy guys. In most cases, the owner knows their animals best. If he says they're fine together, then they're fine. But with that being said be prepared for the day when your turtle has the taste for fish. How big is that tank by the way?

I know Seth, that is why I never said to take him out. I just said make sure you will be ok with losing the fish :D

yeh i know what they can be like, i also have a soft shell turtle in a seperate tank with a musk turtle and a flowerhorn, the flowerhorn being the only fish he couldnt eat! I got him as a nipper and he systematicly hunted down all the tetras he was with and with the flowerhorn they both munched them all lol

but as for winston.... I think he's not got it in him really hes more interested in the catfish haha

Love this picture, terrance (texan) is quite awesome

In the cave you can sort of catch a glimpse at my asian sun catfish, which is around 7" long and quite spectacular, only comes out at feeding time tho

I let him out from time to time, he seems to quite enjoy it. he always walks towards me which is a good sign. I left him out once when i went to work and when I came home he was curled up in the corner of the room sleeping!!

one more question. where's his basking spot/landing?
