Nice job on the pull, next time, if it happens again :D: net the fish, get a pair of scissors and split the feeder as deep as possible.
 
yeah that was tough thanks for everyones help i thought i would loose him through the procedure but he looks good now his mouth is closed and i got him to eat some krill
 
Eating is def a good sign :)
 
looks like you fed him a sunfish and chances are those spines are stuck in there pretty good. next time take the spines off
 
glad everything turned out with a happy ending.. he is a beauty..

To me if you were that upset/concerned I don't think I'd allow there to be a next time, if it eats frozen then I'd stick with that personally...
